Getting Started - First Steps
When you first spawn in The Forge, you'll start in Stonewake's Cross (Island 1). Here's what to do first:
- Talk to Sensei Moro - He's right at spawn and gives you 3 free race rerolls
- Accept all available quests - Talk to every NPC you see
- Buy your first pickaxe - Visit Miner Fred's shop near spawn
- Start mining - Head into the cave and mine pebbles and rocks
Pro Tip
Don't spend Robux early! Use promo codes to get free race rerolls and luck totems instead.
Mining Basics
Mining is the core gameplay loop in The Forge. Here's how it works:
Ore Sources
- Pebbles - Small rocks, fast to mine, common ores
- Rocks - Medium size, better ore variety
- Boulders - Large rocks, best ores on Island 1
- Basalt Rocks/Cores/Veins - Island 2 ore sources
Mining Tips
- Higher Mining Power = faster mining
- Higher Luck = better chance for rare ores
- Upgrade your pickaxe as soon as you can afford it
Crafting Your First Items
Once you've collected some ores, head to the Forge to craft weapons and armor.
How Crafting Works
- Collect ores from mining
- Go to the Forge (near spawn)
- Select what you want to craft (weapon or armor)
- Choose your ores - different ores give different stats
- Complete the crafting minigame for bonus quality
Important
The crafting minigame affects your item's final quality and sell value. Take your time and aim for perfect timing!
Pickaxe Progression
Your pickaxe is your most important tool. Here's the recommended upgrade path:
- Bronze Pickaxe ($50) - First upgrade
- Iron Pickaxe ($250) - Second upgrade
- Stonewakes Pickaxe ($3,333) - Best on Island 1
- Cobalt Pickaxe ($10,000) - First Island 2 pickaxe
- Mithril Pickaxe ($67,500) - Mid-game goal
- Arcane Pickaxe ($125,000) - Endgame goal
